San Pedrillo Day Tour

Giant trees, dense vegetation and rainforest trails give San Pedrillo its character. Walking through the forest and understanding its surroundings are central to this experience.

  • The rainforest has value of its own, even when wildlife remains hidden.
  • A day visit focused on forest scenery and trails.
  • Choose by interest and physical effort, with clear differences from Sirena.
Boat transport, park entry, guide and lunch included

Explore San Pedrillo’s trails with a certified naturalist guide, among giant trees and tropical vegetation.

  • Corcovado National Park entry.
  • Certified naturalist guide.
  • Guided walks on San Pedrillo’s trails.
  • Lunch.

Moderate rainforest hiking

Walk natural trails with frequent stops to observe wildlife, take photographs and learn about rainforest biodiversity. Distance varies with the trails, weather and the group’s pace. Tell us the children’s ages and any mobility needs before confirming.

Boarding and landing take place directly on the beach. Bring sandals and be prepared to get your feet wet.

What to bring

  • Comfortable closed walking shoes; sandals for boarding and leaving the boat.
  • Light, comfortable clothes and a rain jacket or poncho.
  • Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
  • Reusable water bottle and a small backpack.
  • Camera and a waterproof bag for electronic devices.
  • Swimwear and a towel. Ask about the activities planned for your date; these items do not guarantee a swimming stop.

Help protect the park

Do not bring food, disposable plastic bottles, alcohol, cigarettes or vaping devices. Follow your guide’s instructions and park rules.

How to confirm your experience

  1. Choose your date and add the participants and your contact details.
  2. Enter each participant’s name and nationality, and each child’s age. We need a Costa Rican ID or passport number to check availability. Enter it when requesting your booking or send it later by email or WhatsApp.
  3. A 50% deposit is required. The balance is due the day before the tour. Confirmation depends on the team’s arrangements and park permits.

Payment, changes and cancellations

  • The deposit is non-refundable.
  • Once park permits have been purchased, the date cannot be changed.
  • Cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour are non-refundable.

Plan ahead: entry depends on permits and daily capacity. Sending an enquiry does not confirm your place.

What is paid separately

Personal expenses and any additional services outside the programme. Boat transport, park entry, guide and lunch are already included.

Is this experience right for you?

Choose San Pedrillo if you enjoy hiking and want to explore tropical forest and giant trees. The walk is moderate; share your group’s needs so we can review the experience together.

Before you decide

Is it easier than Sirena?

Do not choose on that assumption alone. Effort depends on the trail, terrain and walking time; let us check what suits you.

Does it include a waterfall or swimming?

A waterfall visit or swim is not guaranteed by the tour name. If it is part of your departure, its conditions will be stated.

Can we see wildlife?

Encounters are possible along the route, but no species is guaranteed.

Can children join this experience?

Tell us the children’s ages and how comfortable they are with walking and boat travel. We will review the chosen experience with you before you confirm; the child price category alone does not determine suitability.

Is this a confirmed reservation?

No. The team must review your date, park permits and the other components of your experience before confirming.

Will our group have a private guide?

Regular Corcovado tours run in shared groups. Request a private guide in advance, subject to availability and an additional quotation.
