A different forest after sunset

Walk at an unhurried pace as your guide looks for wildlife and helps you notice forest details. Learn about behaviour and adaptations and listen to frogs and insects.

You may encounter frogs, spiders, snakes, insects, geckos and occasionally small nocturnal mammals. Sightings depend on natural conditions and are not guaranteed.

Timing and meeting point

Schedule: 6:30–9:30 p.m. Duration: 3 hours. The meeting point in Drake Bay is provided when booking.

Scheduling may vary with weather and activity arrangements.

Low to moderate difficulty

Trails may have mud, roots, stones and uneven, wet or slippery surfaces. You need sufficient mobility for these conditions. Share any group needs before confirming.

What to bring

• Closed shoes and long trousers.
• Insect repellent and a light jacket.
• Reusable water bottle, camera and waterproof bag.
• Share your shoe size so we can prepare rubber boots. You can send it later if you do not know it yet.

Observe with care

Follow your guide’s instructions and stay with the group. Do not touch or handle wildlife, keep a respectful distance and avoid direct flash.

Additional expenses and booking

Personal expenses and additional services outside the programme are paid separately.

Request availability with your date, participants and contact details. The team will then request the details needed to arrange the outing; no passport is needed in the initial enquiry.

Payment and cancellations

No deposit is required. Full payment is due the day before the tour. If you cancel at least 24 hours before departure, there is no penalty and any payment received is refunded. Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable. Date changes are arranged with our team subject to availability.

For tours outside Corcovado, if the operator cancels before the activity starts because of unsafe weather, you can choose another date subject to availability. If the new date does not suit you, unprovided services are refunded, excluding non-refundable entrance fees disclosed before payment.
